SDDTC Championship Show 2024

Stoneleigh Park, 29th September 2024. Judge: Mr Frank Kane.

It was a great pleasure and a privilege to judge the 95th Anniversary Show of this society and I was greeted with an excellent entry of 73 Dandies, with many quality exhibits making competition tough in some classes. Some very promising puppies were overawed by the proceedings and some ring craft lessons before the day would have benefitted them. Lots of beautiful heads but more than a few with short ribcages and long couplings.

  • BEST IN SHOW was the junior male CLOVERWOOD HAPPY DAZE who was winning his third certificate on the day
  • Best Opposite Sex & Reserve Best In Show was CH DIDDIMONT LUNA WUFFGOOD
  • Best Puppy was the bitch CALMARLIN MEMENTO VITA
  • Best Veteran was the bitch CH GERMAN DANDIES VIOLETTA
  • Best Special Vintage was the male CH BORDERSTONE KINGMAN FOR LANNIA

Many thanks to my stewards Marie Poole and Jane Cundall who were drafted in at the last moment.

Junior Dog 1st: Tinsley’s Cloverwood Happy Daze
15-month mustard who is full of quality and with a superb headpiece with beautiful large dark eyes. He has strong bone and feet and is beautifully made at both ends and moves accordingly with good stride. In excellent coat. I would prefer a little more length to him and when he sheds a little body that will help him. In the challenge his head and expression with his soundness on the move were the pulling factors for me and he won the CC which was his third. Later Best in Show.
