Every year, there are lots of events where you can meet fellow dog lovers, show off your dog’s skills, learn about a particular breed, and so much more.
Below are just a few dog-related events that we think might appeal to Dandie enthusiasts – please let us know if we’ve missed out any must-attend occasions and we’ll update our calendar.

3 November 2024: Breed Appreciation Day
The Dandie Dinmont Terrier Club and The Southern Dandie Dinmont Terrier Club are jointly hosting a Breed Appreciation Day (BAD) which will include a Multiple Choice Exam (MCE) on the breed standard and an afternoon session of group mentoring for those who are eligible.
Venue
- Shenstone Village Hall, Barnes Road, Shenstone, WS14 OLT
Running order
- 9.00–9.30am – Registration and refreshments
- 10.00am – Start: speakers Mr Paul Eardley & Mr Stuart Plane on Expanding the Breed Standard and Judging the Breed, including a Q&A session
- There will be a short break during the morning session
- 12 noon – MCE (spaces are limited so please apply early)
- 12.45pm – Light lunch
- 1.45pm – Group mentoring (again spaces will be limited and are for those who are eligible)
- 3.00pm – The day closes

- Attendance and participation in the talk: £25
- Talk and MCE: £30
- Full day: £40
